Repsol Works on Sakakemang Block, World's Largest Oil and Gas Findings
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Repsol Josu Jon Imaz is committed to accelerating the production of the first Sakakemang Block in South Sumatra. Commitments accelerate production from 5 years to less than 3 years. Sakakemang Block is one of the largest oil and gas discoveries in the world for the period 2018-2019. With proven natural gas reserves reaching around 2 trillion cubic feet (tcf), Repsol's findings have also become the largest in Indonesia for the past 18 years.
The first production of oil and gas (first oil) from the Sakakemang Block in South Sumatra is targeted to be carried out in less time in the next 3 years. This is the commitment of the Repsol Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Josu Jon Imaz in a meeting with Deputy Minister of ESDM Arcandra Tahar at Repsol headquarters in Madrid, Spain Wednesday April 24 2019. "We are grateful and happy that Repsol has a commitment to accelerate oil and gas production in Sakakemang from 5 years to less than three years.
